Integrations

Facebook

This integration allows shoppers to start a chat with an expert from a merchant’s shops page through Facebook Messenger.

💭 How it’s used.

Merchants can allow prospective shoppers to connect with experts directly through Facebook, augmenting their offering on Facebook and boosting the likelihood of purchases.

🔧 Configuration

Experts accept chat requests from shoppers from Facebook Shops as normal through the Store App. They’re notified that this is a Facebook Shops chat, so they may not be live with the shopper.

Google Business Messages

This integration allows shoppers to start a chat with an expert through Google Maps when searching for a merchant’s store locations.

💭 How it’s used.

Merchants can allow prospective shoppers to connect with experts when they are just searching for the store, which might entice them to visit or make a purchase online.

🔧 Configuration

When a shopper starts a chat through Google Business Messages, experts based in the store they searched for are prioritized in the routing. If no experts from that store are available, the chat is routed to other stores.

After an expert claims the chat, they are informed that it’s a Google Business Messages chat and so they may not be chatting in real-time with the shopper.

Shopify

The Klarna Virtual Shopping Shopify integration allows Shopify merchants to install On-site Chat on their Shopify sites.

💭 How it’s used.

Merchants based on Shopify are able to easily and quickly sign up for Virtual Shopping and install On-site Chat on their sites.

⚙️ How it works.

Shopify merchants can install On-site Chat, set up Shopper Events tracking, and index their product feed in just a few clicks.

The plugin is available for a monthly price including unlimited locations, chats, and customization (subject to fair use).

Single Sign On (SSO)

SSO allows us to integrate the merchant’s own login solution into the Store App so that experts can log in with the same credentials they use for the merchant’s other systems.

💭 How it’s used.

Merchants retain centralized control over their experts’ access to the Store App just as they would any other app. If they deactivate an expert’s SSO credentials, they will no longer be able to access the Store App, i.e. Store App access does not need to be deactivated separately.

Experts can use the same credentials to log into the Store App as they use for other existing tools, giving them one less thing to remember and saving time when it comes to having to reset their Store App accounts if they forget their passwords.

⚙️ How it works.

Currently, we can support SAML SSO solutions.

Experts still need to register and set up a profile on the Store App, but they’ll need to enter their SSO credentials instead of creating a new password.

The Virtual Shopping Dashboard does not currently support SSO.
